I did graphics for quite a bit as a teacher and I was always interested in different drawing systems such as Isometric, Oblique and perspective. I wondered if I could make a small welded piece and it worked out reasonably well. It needed a character to give it a sense of scale and hence this piece developed. It has its own charm and the title might help remind people that perspective is just a point of view!
