I had a work experience kid this year and one of the first tasks I got him to do was use the wood lathe to turn a series of small spikes. IT was simple safe and he then made a bowl. I decided to use the spikes in a dragons backbone.. but of course I had to make the dragon. He took a reasonable time to do and he had lots of nice areas to play with. I have done several junk dragons in the past but none like this.
