This is the first piece of new work done in 2012. I wanted to work with bird forms and as I am still amused by rocks in the air this is an extension of the �flying rock� piece ,I filled the forms with recycled rock offcuts ( thank you Maery Gabriel) and these give a slight variation in colour as well as oddness!.The flying ducks are again a bit of a retro look back at the popular decoration of the 50�s except these actually�fly�. I actually remember making at least one flying duck as a woodwork project..mind you all ducks were the same and you just followed the template. Being sort of 2-d they have a similar form to the original idea but these ones are outdoor based rather than indoor suggesting at least the possibility of them escaping into the wild.( Certainly they have changed position in times of strong wind!)
