I saw a necklace form in New Zealand with evenly spaced forms around a ring.. I liked the idea and created stylized faces in each of the boxes..suggesting the range of peoples around the pacific.... the ring itself is fairly simple and quiet.. Pacific in fact!
It certainly is different from the other Maori based forms but again the idea was to show the inspiration I have received from the trip to NZ and this piece called out to be made.
