�There is an old Zombies song called �shes not there� and I liked the idea of how often the girls I see are distracted by the �reality� that they live through their phones rather than engage with the real world and �real people� Is the real world all junk? Or is this alternate world a cocoon that insulates from reality. I also did this to explore the effect of negative space.. I have made lots of figures in the positive form made out of junk but this piece I liked the idea of doing the junk all around the form and suggesting her by her absence
