I did a piece I called adapt a while ago. It had a lovely base but a pretty muddled top. I cut the top of and used elements to create this piece. I have recently had a filipino sculptor staying with us and we have been discussing nature the environment and man’s place. That sort of inspired this piece and I saw a similar form on Instagram. Hence the bigger circle of nature signified by the dragonfly and the smaller form involving the human but with equal weighting. Also it is tipped in the human’s favour by being welded rather than balanced so it really is an unnatural balance.
