I do like having a few girl forms around the sculpture garden. A couple of my finished pieces went off to a shop and with the self isolation of Covid I was sorting through my collections of junk and thought I needed to do some more girl forms. I look through Instagram most days and there was a painting done by one artist based on some photos of a Queensland theatre performer named Hayley Angell. I went to the original site and did my own sketches of some poses. This one was the first to be done and her bandana reminded me of the Rosie the riveter poster . Hence Rosie!
