I did a small sketch of 2 hemispheres meeting. It seemed and interesting idea and I made this piece. As I neared the end I added the stand and tendrils to add some nature to the form not just have it being almost mechanical, and the small characters who are acting as joining forms.I was thinking about what are combined worlds and sometimes it is perceptions, families joining, different schemes coexisting and I felt it could be open to quite a bit of interpretation. In nearly every case humans act to make the worlds combine no matter how well or poorly they fit.
