I have done a piece like this a while ago but I was tidying up my bench…. Seriously….. and I came across this old battered copper float with a brass stem. I had been having trouble welding to brass but it fitted a nut quite easily. The piece came together nicely with a redgum block and a lovely longlegged character.I like the way that the title float plays against the floating and the original purpose of the copper.
