I had made a piece looking like a wild bush or grass area but it had no real focus and the addition of the bird really helped it have a direction. Again another saying about birds in hands etc but this one is uncaught. I do love that a lot of our Australian birds provide a flash of colour in what can be fairly uniform bush …. but I haven’t painted this one.
