I guess a screwball is some American term relating to baseball. It was common when I was growing up but I am not so sure about use in common parlance these days. Anyway I must have heard the term in a movie or tv show recently and thought to do this little character. I do like the copper hair and I wondered what he might look like with a part wooden head. Sort of screwy!
