I have been tidying up my wood work area and I am finding all sorts of odd gems. The main board for this piece is quite unique and lovely. However the small dark pieces glued to the wall are pieces of redgum that are older than the pyramids. When I was a woodworker I went to a wood show and they had a booth of people selling this. They said it came from a forest of redgum trees that had been buried in sand for over 20,000 years. They gave me some small pieces to see what I could do and I did something but these are the offcuts of the offcuts. I had to use them and here they are. I have never climbed a climbing wall either.
