I had a very long pile of odd bits of timber collected when I was teaching and also more of a woodworker. I thought I should spend a bit of time and just move the pile and look at what wood could be used in sculpture or furniture. I had completely forgotten this wonderful old fence post . I was also exploring how to use colourbond and I had made 3 birds using pipe and different pieces. Again they all suggested that they combine and this lovely piece is the result
