I did a piece for a show at Neerim using bird silhouettes and the idea still had lots of exploring left in it. I had some heart forms made and I decided to combine a heart shape with the bird shapes as well as a 3-d bird. The title suggested itself and in looking on the net there are lots of bird and heart combinations.Is it the lightness of feeling that we get when we are in love that suggests a bird… is it that our hearts are “ a flutter” ? We do have love birds( not love dogs or love horses) . I am not entirely sure what I am trying to say with this combination.. only that the pieces all seem to go together and it does seem somehow light hearted and delightful.. to me at least.This piece sold through the CAS show in Richmond
