I also made a wild boy but surely a wild girl is more fun( I am a man!). In my market stall I have always given my dogs male names and my bird sculptures female names. This might come from growing up in a culture that calls women birds, chicks etc It might also be maybe a greatly sublimated passion for daisy duck or tweety bird!
I used to do lots of life drawing and I usually draw people if I have the chance and it is interesting showing an emotion just through body language. I have tried to do this with this piece and it amused me that when I was working on it at home where it stood in relation to another piece and created a fairly distinct interaction
