I have done a few pieces this year using smallish circles and this is the most recent. I have started using some of my heavy metal forms as pedestals and this seems to present work simply and effectively. I was thinking how to use the circle and the idea of birds and people occupying the same space eg in a tree and with a very different scale to reality came to mind. Is it the Tree of paradise? can we talk with the animals? is it just a whimsical interaction?…. Well, all of the above or none…it was a fun idea and it follows along from a few of my small pieces where a change of scale creates different interactions.
