I follow a lass on Instagram named Tjitse kamphuis and she produces lovely linocuts with quite a degree of patternmaking. There are some repetitive elements and they all have a lovely rhythm about them. I had been cutting out mermaid hair for my mermaid and these were the infill offcuts that separated the hair . I had thrown them in the bin as they seemed too small and simple to use let alone pointy , when overnight the idea came to me of doing something in a similar style to Tjitse. Sort of a homage, sort of a theft.. but I did recycle the hair pieces!
