This piece started as just a geometrical form. It used up quite a few of my offcuts and I was sort of thinking of a symmetrical semicircle. As  it came together I wasn’t satisfied with it and played with moving the pieces around. It soon came into this form and I added the leaves and stamens and I think it has become quite attractive. The leaves are made from river pebbles and the wood in the centre of the flower is coated with Doors windows and decking which lasts for years.
