I made a boat form last year and it was slightly abstracted. I also made a boat form when I went to Thailand and this was based on an ancient thai boat. This one has elements of both those boats and also seed pod forms and really was just a fun piece with a certain whimsicality…I don’t know what it is about boats but they do offer us a chance to go somewhere else and perhaps be taken by odd currents on uncharted paths. I am not a sailor at all and no doubt elements of the design are quite impractical.. but for a boat of dreams it seems just fine.
