This is another of the New Zealand based pieces. I found two handmade oars at the local wood recycler( transfer station) years ago and I brought them home with the idea of doing something with them. One of the New Zealand ideas was this section of a spiral and I added the top and bottom to give it a canoe shape as Maori war canoes were a large part of their existence. It called out for the oars to be added and I reckon it looks great.
