A friend gave me a collection of mallee root offcuts. I love this timber and its swirls and texture and I immediately made a few boxes. Some pieces would not fit that sort of idea so I made them into other things like the arms of this cactus. It has nails for prickles and it is set in the white marble of a stone garden
