I had a collection of old fence posts in my piles of wood and I love the texture and character of each of these pieces of wood. I have tried to allow these aspects to be seen and to be relatively protected and supporting them with a metal structure seemed a good idea. Of course the addition of birds gives a slightly different focus and this one has glass eyes inset.As I live in the country I often see birds on fences or branches and it always delights. If I can capture just a small piece of that beauty I am content
