a big piece for this month,It took a while to come together and it ended up a flower form

I started with the leaf shape not sure where I was going but I liked the repetition. I completed all of those then played with how to join them and I tried quite a variety of sketches and playing. I hadn’t done a form like this before( around a pole) and it seemed the best. As I added the disc at the top it took more of a cruciform motif and I thought the overall composition was quite interesting and striking. It has flower qualities and also memorial qualities so I have just titled it thus and left it at that.
