I do like symbols and we use them in all sorts of different ways. I was looking at a split circle of my metal offcuts and the idea of a division sign appealed. I looked up when it was first used and it was in the 1600’s by a german mathematician. What also interested me was that it is not universal and the split diagonal line 2/4 , was more common in European countries. Anyway I incorporated that element too and my division piece has all “come together”
