I was inspired by seeing a woman artist arranging fibres from a plant. Needless to say it transformed in my mind into metal bars and as I gathered them and cut them to appropriate lengths I enjoyed that they all came from a variety of domestic items. There is an old school desk, a bike tube, a pool fence, a clothesline and some mower handles as well as the orb from a gas bottle. The final piece was the rectangular tube that makes most of the base and this was pitted with rust from being at the bottom of the pile. A lovely contrast and quite a unique and pleasing form
