This is an extension of the forms I used for the New Zealand Exhibition. Except this time it seems a bit denser and simpler. I liked the contrast of the curved smooth inside of “shell” with the spiky outside and I had this piece drawn in the sketch book at the same time. It suggests a dragon tail just disappearing from view( to me) but really is just a further exploration of the spiral and curved forms.I have added to the spiral in 2013 and I feel it is better.
