I had been making a series of small dragonfly forms for the market and I seemed to recall a fairy type image from my childhood.. might have been Arthur Rackham .. and it seemed appropriate to make this whimsical piece. Magic things dragonflies.. I have made a few poor imitations in my time but the reality of them always delights me…and my girl was from another sculpture where she was not being loved so now she has a better chance at appreciation
