I went to Zart art to buy some art supplies and they had a bag of stick on eyes ther. It suggested this to me and I came home and turned the base form, The stand is an offcut of English ash and it seemed appropriate. I must admit sticking the eyes on was more fiddly than I expected.. especially with my lumpy fingers!.
