I dont know if you can call girls birds anymore.. you used to do it in the old days .. but I suspect not much now. Anyway I was exploring variations of girl sculptures and the idea of a flightless bird sort of appealed and using red gum for the torso allowed real galah feathers to be added in the back. Sort of emu like but those birds have strength and can run so I wouldnt take this girl on!
