I was looking at bending some figures I had planned to make them part of a bigger piece but they each demanded attention in themselves. I did a parachute jump when I was young and the falling floating was wonderful. I also quite like the tom Petty song free falling so maybe both those elements worked to create this piece. I do like the thinness and sort of paper doll effect but the hair gives such a direction.
