I have been going through some of my treasures ( special shaped pieces left on my side bench) and I came across a few dead grinders. What do you do with a defunct grinder? I have made them into ballerinas in the past but I was looking to try something different. I cut off the top and it seemed just like an old style train engine. I did love the copper components and the end bearing suggested the light. I added a few bits and it all came together quite happily. It has a sort of whimsical unearthly feel but I’m sure the grinder innards would appreciate its new life!
