I found this old Iron base in my pile and as it was dress shaped it immediately suggested a woman form. Margaret Thatcher was called the Iron Lady for fer implacable views and I think the term had been used before that possibly harking back to the “Iron Maiden” . My girl is not Thatcher or some marvel hero but really an “Iron” lady. I hope she looks a touch imposing!
