I was given an old piano for demolition and to be used for sculpture. This section came out almost as is and it was such a delight of intricacy that I felt it was a sculpture in itself. The actual demolition of the piano was not as straightforward as you might think and I have another piece of the cast iron frame and strings still to play with. The piano was a 1926 upright and like car parts these parts are rarely seen as they are. I find them fantastic and quite beautiful.
