I have a collection of car springs and I cut them down to be the right size for making birds, peacocks and pelicans and sometimes I am left over with this small curl. I haven’t known what to do with them up to now but as it was sitting on my bench, I was inclined to make it go away. It did have snail spiral qualities but I wasn’t sure what to do with the other side. Problem solved with a welded collection of punchings and my snails have a degree of accuracy and charm…. At least I think so … but I am not sure anyone would want snails that big…. Snail steaks anyone!
