This is a traditional Maori form, sometimes called �crossover and representing a bonding of friendship, two lives becoming one for eternity�.I loved the simplicity of the form and the almost mobius strip type effect of the back becoming the front as the points cross. Such a simple form but so very satisfying. Certainly there is not much change from the original form with the exception of the materials�but bearing in mind the original meaning �two collections of junk becoming one harmonious form .. it has a kind of poetry to it.
