I had a very long pile of odd bits of timber collected when I was teaching and also more of a woodworker. I thought I should spend a bit of time and just move the pile and look at what wood could be used in sculpture or furniture. I had completely forgotten about this old sleeper and it was being eaten by white ants. I removed them and this simple landscape suggested itself. The clouds are old Gal Iron.
