I had a rather battered rollerskate in the pile, covered with aluminium oxide and falling apart. The wheels were stuck and it was indeed a sad specimen. I did get the idea to make this piece so after a fair bit of cleaning and oiling and making the other parts this has emerged. I sort of like the idea but to do it a bit of steering might be in order and a brake( foot brake) would be needed. I suspect it might go a touch faster than a lazy punting down the river if it was transferred to a road !
