A while ago I made a large Blue Wren the scale of which was quite impressive. The person who bought it expressed an interest in a big finch to accompany it and I finally got around to making it. I used a slightly different technique on this piece making it up of lots of small patches which although it took longer has a sort of feathered effect..It is always interesting to change the scale of things as it makes you consider what is and what could be.
