Slow horse is basically a full sized horse that is made from recycled metal �junk� some of which has a relationship to a horse and its uses.
It has 4 horseshoes, a pack rack suggesting a pack horse , plough discs as the base reminding that horses were used for ploughing, bike parts and car parts reflecting what has replaced it as the main form of transport.
The horse is standing, patiently waiting, and it is see through suggesting it is fading into history. I made this piece for the Rosalind Meadmore gallery show of �Horses for Courses�. I was very pleased with its form and I liked choosing all the bits to fill it up. Does it fit the theme�. maybe, but I did want to show it to a wider audience so here it is
