With the Hot August Night show I wanted to do some sort of guitar form. The idea of a blue guitar form was in my head and the alternate title of Play me” also seemed sort of appropriate. However I used the other title on a small watercolour sketch sothis became “song sung blue” and yes I know it is a guitar but perhaps it is the missing guitar from the original cover shot of Neil playing in one interpretation  Air Guitar.
