This piece was also recycled out of a piece called �Mower Man�. I did the original piece for our Wild Dog exhibition �Gippsland� that went to China for exhibition in Juijiang, Warragul�s sister city. I made two of them but one didn�t have the dog and was a bit smaller. I love mowing although now I love my ride-on mower more than the Victa push along mower.
To match the theme this time I played with the man and left the dog. This time I made him airborne, changed his arms and neck and added a cape. I reckon it works wonderfully and is even better than the original (although it has a different theme). (Thank you Marian!)
�Great Australian Hero� is made from recycled steel and wood of some sort. It was re-made in September 2008 from its original form made in 2005.
