This piece was made for the show “Prickles and Thorns” held at Neerim Sth .I had been doing a series of “covered “ pieces  including a shark fin and I thought that the thorn form was just such a lovely shape( when you remove it from its dangerous nature) that to do a large thorn form would be both beautiful and interesting. I added the character to give it the element of attacking/protecting and the scale allows a bit of enjoyment of the curves and flow.
