This piece developed from some of the earlier NZ shapes I made and I liked the idea of unravelling the spiral. I then filled in the inner triangles so I had a surface to add colour. As I looked at it more it reminded me of when I first arrived in Warragul and joined the West Gippsland Arts and Craft association. They had a logo that was similar in some ways to this so perhaps I am mining my recesses as well as developing from my travelsOh I just looked up Ravel in the dictionaryI had not thought it existed but it does and means to tangle.
